Hello everybody!

This week is our first Sunday with Grace's new associate priest, Eric Mason.
I've asked Eric about his musical favorites and they include Mumford and Sons, Bon Iver, Head and the Heart, U2 and REM--The Beatles and CSN&Y too. Ooooooh. Lots to work with!

We've got The Good Samaritan, mercy, compassion and perhaps some hope and truth thrown in for good measure.

Gathering: Christ Before Me

Here's a beautiful arrangement by John Rutter.

Gospel: Redemption 1 by Justin Vernon (Bon Iver)

Offertory: Everybody Hurts by REM

Communion: Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons

After Communion: One by U2

Closer: All You Need Is Love by Lennon and McCartney
Cool cover by The Flaming Lips

BONUS
And  because we didn't include any CSN&Y here's a great cover by The Gundersen Family right here at St. Mark's in Seattle:

  1. I always enjoy seeing your selection.... you may like to discover a contemporary New Zealand singer/songwriter Malcolm Gordon. You can find some of his songs at http://www.songsthatunite.org.au/index.php?page=shop.browse&manufacturer_id=32&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=4
