Good day everybody.
Here we are, Epiphany II.
Interesting and rich readings and images this week. Unity. Individual gifts connected through the source. Miracles. Faith. Light.
Gathering: With My Own Two Hands by Ben Harper
Sweet version here by Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. Our kids choir has led this one.
Opening: Save Us All by Tracy Chapman
Goodness here.
The kids group learned this one a while back. Time to do it again!
Offertory: One by U2. GREAT version with Mary J. Blige. Yes.
Communion: Orange Sky by Alexi Murdoch
My salvation lies in your love.
After Communion:
Have a Little Faith In Me by John Hiatt
Closer: Imagine by John Lennon
I just read that over 600 guitarists/singers in Darjeeling dedicated this song to the young woman who was brutally killed in India. Still powerful and offers a challenge to us after all these years. This version is amazing. Herbie Hancock and Co. We've made this song our own in many different ways at Grace --as a solo, instrumental and congregational hymn.
Bonus song--these Hancock Imagine sessions are inspiring.
Here's their take on the Peter Gabriel song Don't Give Up
